ABOUT THE LOST CREEK HOME AND GARDEN CLUB

What do you get when you mix yummy food with engaging conversation and remarkable women? Add interesting presentations on a variety of subjects and that equals The Lost Creek Home and Garden Club. First organized in 1977, Garden Club is an eclectic group of young and young-at-heart women, meeting monthly at a member's home.

This is not your average Garden Club. Although we are responsible for choosing the Yard of the Month and presenting the Holiday Lighting Awards, we also decorate the MUD Park during the holidays and keep a careful watch over the median and entrance flower beds. We accept 40 full-time members and 15 associate members. Our meetings on the second Tuesday from September through May include a field trip to such interesting locations as Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and the Umlauf Sculpture Gardens. Each meeting opens with a program, which has included a variety of topics and Guest Speakers such as West Bank's own best-selling author and mystery writer, Jeff Abbott, Sharon Miller, Feng Shui Designer of Calming Spaces, Flower Arranging by Central Market, The History of Chocolate by Viva Chocolato and our fabulous Christmas Party in December. We invite you to any one of our monthly gatherings, or would love for you to join us at the park, usually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving at 9:00am to help decorate.
